This past weekend I had the chance to DJ Rivian’s Grand Opening Friends & Family event in Brea, and it was such a unique experience. The atmosphere was electric (literally!) with music, community, and the excitement of a brand-new space coming to life.
The highlight for me? My entire DJ set was powered by a Rivian truck. As someone who spends a lot of time around sound systems and gear, it blew my mind to plug directly into an electric vehicle and have it run my whole setup seamlessly. I couldn’t help but think… I might need one of these so I can DJ anywhere, anytime 🚙🎶.
Beyond the technical novelty, what stood out most was the people. Friends, family, and the Rivian team gathered to celebrate innovation, design, and a shared vision for the future of driving. It felt good to be part of that energy and contribute a soundtrack to the evening.
Events like this remind me why I love what I do: every set has its own story, and sometimes it’s about more than just the music—it’s about connection, creativity, and memorable moments that surprise you.
